Adventure Yoga is an alignment-infused Hatha & Vinyasa practice.
Sometimes we flow, sometimes it’s slow — but it’s always an adventure!
What is Adventure Yoga?
Yoga is a great tool for exploring and expanding the possibilities in your life.
In Adventure Yoga, which Stephen founded in 2014, we help you discover the knowledge, courage, strength and tenacity to make your own choices and step outside your comfort zone. Through this work you will be empowered to face the challenges of following your true path in life.
Who is Stephen Ewashkiw?
Hey. I’m Stephen Ewashkiw (that’s eee-wash-key) – travelling yogi and adventurer.
I teach yoga to people who want to make the most of their lives and to find the courage to live their own adventures. Everyone should have the chance to live their best life and to live their OWN life.
In my classes, I use clear instructions and demonstrations to help you focus on form. You’ll learn anatomy and alignment while also developing mindfulness that you can use in yoga class and in the rest of your life. Often, we’ll practice meditation, pranayama (breath work), and work with mantras.
I will teach you how the philosophy that underpins the yoga practice can be a practical guide to help you in your life.
Yoga philosophy talks about svadharma – your own personal path – and in Adventure Yoga you will learn how to discover what your dream life is, coupled with skills to create the rules and goals you need to set so you can ensure that you achieve your dreams, however big or small they are.
When you come to my class I’m going to demand your attention. Come prepared to work hard, come prepared to have fun.
If we do it “right”, transformation may occur.
I’ve been teaching yoga for more than 10 years. I:
- Completed Noah Mazé’s 300-Hour Teacher Training in 2015 and am also certified in The Mazé Method (which I like to call my Ph.D. in yoga).
- Am Yoga Alliance Registered (E-RYT 500, their highest accreditation).
- Studied with Darren Rhodes and Christina Sell for my 200-Hour Teacher Training in Anusara yoga.
- Have done thousands of hours of yoga study with dozens of teachers.
- Have taught thousands of hours of yoga to students in more than 25 countries.
- Founded Adventure Yoga in 2014 as a way to focus my teaching and better serve my students.
What My Students Say
Here are some really nice things my students and teachers have said about me and about Adventure Yoga. One of my favourite things about teaching yoga is getting to know, and work with, amazing human beings. You have taught me so much about myself and the world. Thank you all.
